Structured Data for Shopify Products: The 2026 Schema.org Guide

How to make your products eligible for rich results on Google.

What rich results do for you

Rich results are the enhanced listings in Google SERPs that show stars, price, availability, and shipping. Products with rich results get 20-50% higher click-through rates than plain blue links. For any category with visible competition, they're table stakes.

Google generates rich results from structured data (schema.org markup) embedded in your page HTML. No schema = no rich results.

The 4 schema types every Shopify product needs

(1) Product — name, description, image, brand, SKU. (2) Offer — price, currency, availability, priceValidUntil. (3) AggregateRating — ratingValue and reviewCount if you have reviews. (4) Review — individual review snippets if available.

Most modern Shopify themes ship Product + Offer automatically. AggregateRating and Review require you to use a review app (Judge.me, Loox, Yotpo) or inject manually.

Validating your schema

Run your product URLs through Google's Rich Results Test. Any missing required fields appear in red. Common errors: missing priceValidUntil on Offer, missing image URL, invalid aggregateRating format. Fix them once in your theme and they apply to every product.

After fixing, request re-indexing in Search Console. Rich results usually appear within 5-14 days.

How ImportFlow solves this

Schema is a one-time theme job, not a per-product job — but the per-product data that fills the schema (price, availability, reviews) still has to be complete and correct, which is where importers help.

ImportFlow is a purpose-built Shopify product importer that combines AI rewriting, multi-language translation, bulk import, SEO scoring, and scheduled publishing in a single dashboard. You paste a supplier URL, let the AI rewrite titles and descriptions for your market, set your pricing rules, and publish to Shopify — a workflow that normally takes 20-30 minutes per product happens in under a minute.

Stores using ImportFlow typically ship 7-10× more products per week than stores doing manual listings, and those products launch with proper SEO meta fields, Google Shopping categories, and market-specific copy from day one. Start your free trial at importflow.app and see the difference on your next product import.
